What Strings Should I Buy?
Violin
The cost for a set of violin
strings ranges from $20 (poor sound and quality) to $90 (excellent sound and
quality) from a catalogue, or twice as much from a local store. Here are
some mid-range, good quality brands and approximate costs (feel free to
comparison shop!):

Violins often sound and play
better with a different brand E string than the A, D and G strings. These
brands are recommended for the E string only (use the first list to purchase
