Patrons Scholarship Awards
Congratulations
to Justin Bernardo, Steven Laraia, Elizabeth Sauper, Kelsey Schmidt, and Corinne Sobolewski - all recipients of Orchestra Patrons Scholarships.

Thanks to MBM Sports and Riccardi's Violin Shop for their donations to the Patrons of the Washington Township High School Orchestra Scholarship Fund. The students and their parents, as well as the orchestra director, Judy Barnett, and the Patrons Executive Board, wish to extend heartfelt thanks for their generosity.  Stop by and let them know how much we appreciate their help.

Orchestra Picnic, June 16
Join us after school at Washington Lake Park for food and fun.  We will be needing parent volunteers - please contact Ms Barnett at jbarnett@wtps.org.  More details to come.

Congrats to All-State Students
The following students made the All-State Orchestra this year: Adam Kocher, Jenna Sobolewski and Erica Venuti on viola; Kevin Lucero on cello.  The orchestra will be performing at the 2009 State Teacher's Conference on November 6 as well as a concert at the New Jersey Performing Arts Center in Newark on November 15.

Pictures!
One of our parents, Michael Sparano, is a wonderful photographer and will be taking pictures at some of the orchestra events.  He has a web site and will be selling the photos if anyone is interested.  A portion of the proceeds will go to the orchestra.  Buying or not - it is great fun to explore the pictures!
